The proposed housing complex is based on the traditional apartment building block. It is composed of individual houses that together form a SUPER-BLOCK.
The proposal transforms the qualities of the traditional Žižkov block building into an intensive high-rise spatial arrangement. The designed house will contribute to the creation of a new center of Žižkov at the intersection of city boulevards. The building will complement the city’s skyline and strengthen the creation of a local centre with a new type of public space.
The advantage of the designed structure is comfortable living with open views that eliminate the feeling of cramped and restricted. At the same time, the block protects the inner courtyard, which creates a unique environment for a composed park. The intensively used public space around both the perimeter of the block and in the inner block will bring the qualities of metropolitan life to the exclusive locality.
