The floor plan scheme of six squares creates a diverse range of interior spaces within the house

We designed a compact house without a hallway. The house is positioned along the street line to preserve as much open garden space as possible, with a view into an overgrown orchard. The garage is integrated into the terrain’s contour, becoming part of the garden. The planar fence offers a subtle boundary between preserving privacy and openness to the surroundings. After several years, the homeowners added a steel pergola for outdoor seating.
